1. Information We Collect

We only collect what's necessary to deliver and improve BeauSnap:

Screenshot Images: Uploaded by you for editing. These are processed locally in your browser and never stored on our servers unless you explicitly save a preset or export.
Usage Data: How often you use effects, which backgrounds you choose, and feature engagement (anonymized).
Account Info (if registered): Email address (for login and support), payment info (via our payment gateway providers — we never see it).
Cookies: A single session cookie to remember your preferences (e.g., theme, last used effect). No tracking cookies.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide, maintain, and improve the BeauSnap editor
To respond to your support requests
To detect and prevent fraud or abuse
To personalize your experience (e.g., remembering your favorite background)

We do NOT sell your data. We do NOT share your screenshots with third parties.

3. Data Storage & Security

All image processing happens client-side — in your browser. We do not store your raw screenshots unless you choose to save them to your account.

Paid accounts are linked to encrypted email addresses via our payment gateway providers. We use industry-standard TLS encryption for all connections.

You can delete your account and associated data at any time via Settings → Delete Account.

4. Third Parties

We use trusted third-party services:

Payment Gateway Providers: For secure payment processing. They handle all financial data.
Cloudflare: For DDoS protection and performance optimization.
Analytics Provider (Optional): Only if you opt in during onboarding. We use anonymized, aggregated data.

These providers are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

5. Children's Privacy

BeauSnap is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access, correct, or delete your data
Opt out of analytics (toggle in Settings)
Download a copy of your account data
Withdraw consent at any time

7. Screenshot Responsibility

BeauSnap allows users to edit and, in some cases, capture screenshots directly. You are solely responsible for the content you choose to capture or upload. Please ensure you have the right to take, use, and share any screenshot you process with BeauSnap. BeauSnap is not liable for any misuse, copyright infringement, or unlawful activity that arises from the screenshots you create or distribute.

8. International Transfers

Our servers are located in the United States. By using BeauSnap, you consent to the transfer and storage of your information in the U.S.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We'll notify active users via email and post the updated version here. Continued use means you accept the changes.
